PLEIN AIR ESSENTIALS
My weekly outdoor plein air practice is one of the greatest 'unlocks' i've had in painting so far. Searching for colour and that magical light outdoors has turned out to be great for me in this season of learning, by being present in the paint, in the process and just exploring. Uncovering this space, being super intentional about switching up the mediums that I use, and not being attached to any outcome has proven to me that the reason I love art so much is because of the joy these practices bring. I'm learning heaps and I hope I can encourage you to band together with some arty mates and get outside.
