The Drawing Practice - Portrait - Printouts only
The Drawing Practice: Portrait Edition
By Jessica Le Clerc
This little journal is a structured way to actually practice drawing—without the pressure or overwhelm of figuring out how.
It was made for anyone who wants to get better at drawing but doesn’t always know where to start. Inside, you’ll find 12 carefully chosen portrait references—each one drawn three times (10, 15, and 20 minutes).
The idea is to build your skills bit by bit, through rhythm and repetition.
You’ll begin with a “test drawing” right at the start, and return to it at the end—so you can actually see your progress on the page.
It’s about learning how to see more clearly, and giving yourself the space to show up, have a go, and get better by practicing the right way.
This is the DIY version—perfect if you want to set up your own journal.
