The Studio Project

Photographer Christine Hall photographs artist works and has diversified into photographing the artists in their studios.

The artists are from a variety of backgrounds and genres, which is why and where the idea for this book was born. Their stories, what brought them to art, what drives them to create and capturing this moment in time and their legacy as emerging, mid and late career artists.

Documenting this for the very important legacy these artists are creating in relation to where they work, live and play. Many artists create work that is in direct response to the natural and built environment around them which is the Sunshine Coast region and this project will showcase the region through an artistic lense. Photographing a unique mix of 40 established, emerging and experimental artists from the wider Sunshine Coast region - with diverse range of backgrounds and culture, including First Nations.
